Taking Care of Mental Wellbeing

Cristal Care’s Rother Valley View has been out for their daily local walks during different times over the last year of the pandemic. Ensuring our residents health and wellbeing is of the forefront at what we do. We have all had sacrifices to make during the pandemic and care services across the whole of the UK has had restrictions on visitors to keep the vulnerable people we support safe.

We have all had to be creative in facilitating contact for our loved ones throughout the lockdown and use video calls so that they can see their loved ones. With restrictions planned to lift to allow one visitor in the home from 8th March I’m sure many individuals who live in care facilities have been looking forward to this moment for a long time.

We have closely monitored our residents mental health to ensure that our residents are safe and well. At different times individuals we support have struggled with the ‘cabin fever’ of having the restrictions that lockdown has placed on us. The staff team have captured some fantastic photos of residents getting their steps in whilst out and about.
