Last year one of our residents suggested she raising money for a cancer charity as this was something that is close to her. She researched with some of our other residents and they decided together they wanted to support Macmillan by holding a Coffee morning on site. Last year we raised £152 in aid of MacMillian and everyone involved enjoyed it so much we continued the tradition this year.
Our residents and staff supporting have worked extremely hard this year and ensured invites were sent out to friends, parents and health professionals involved in their care to raise as much money as possible. I am proud to say this year on the 30th September 2016 the official coffee morning we raised £358.73. Which is a huge achievement and just shows how much hard work was put into our coffee morning for such a small site.
On the 24th of October Lindsey Willis from the MacMillan fundraising came to visit The Pleasance to thank residents and staff for their hard work. We were presented with a huge cheque!
